H G Lewis’ directorial debut is surprisingly good. It’s loosely based on the life of Hugh Hefner, fictionalized to avoid any legal repercussions. Jack quits his cushy job at Newlywed Magazine, walks out on his clingy girlfriend, and in a drunken stupor decides to create a new magazine for men, Pagan.
